The cost of yard cleanup will increase or decrease based upon a number of factors. This article is intended to provide you with a checklist of questions to ask yourself and your contractor.
This key will serve as your guide:
$0 = no additional cost $ = standard cost $$+ = increased cost
Ask Yourself:
How large is my yard? (Companies typically charge by the acre or by square foot for leaf removal.)
$ - When the yard is smaller than ½ acre.
$$ - When the yard is larger than ½ acre.
$$$ - When the yard is several acres.
Is the yard in good condition?
$ - When the yard is good condition and it has been well maintained.
$$ - When the yard is overgrown and it has not been well maintained.
Are there a lot of trees in my yard?
$ - When there are very few trees.
$$ - When there are lots of trees that have dropped lots of leaves.
Do fallen leaves needed to bagged or hauled away?
$ - When leaves are raked to the curb for pick-up, dumped on the property, or put in a compost pile.

Do garden beds need to be cleared of leaves or weeded?

Do any trees or shrubs need to be pruned or trimmed?
